Introduction

This ISO 45001 training course outlines the necessary skills needed to lead an ISO 45001 audit team and conduct first, second and third-party audits against the standard requirements.

There are three delivery options for you to choose from; a 38-hour virtual classroom course delivered in 5 sessions; a 40-hour virtual classroom course delivered in 7 sessions and the traditional face to face 5-day classroom course.

The virtual classroom courses are delivered in real time by experienced tutors via our online platform and provide delegates with the flexibility of attending from a convenient place, without the requirement of travelling.

Successful completion of this certified course satisfies the requirements to become a registered OH&S lead auditor and adds credibility through a formal qualification.

You will need …

  • Knowledge of the following occupational health & safety management principles and concepts: 
  • The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle 
  • The High Level Structure upon which ISO 45001 has been based. 
  • The purpose and benefits of a an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system 
  • A basic knowledge of managing occupational health and safety (OH&S) through hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control and compliance with legal and other requirements 
  • A basic awareness of common examples of relevant national and local OH&S legislation and requirements. 
  • Commonly used OH&S terms and definitions as given in ISO 45001 
  • Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 45001, which may be gained by completing LRQA’s ISO 45001 Appreciation and Interpretation course or LRQA’s ISO 45001 Internal Auditor course

Course assessment

Continuous assessment and a 2-hour examination.

Delegate Numbers

The number of delegates attending this course will range between a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 16. When more than 10 delegates are attending the course, then two tutors will be utilised.  

This course is certified by CQI and IRCA and meets the requirements of the CQI and IRCA ISO 45001 Lead Auditor (OH&SMS) course criteria PR357, IRCA course certification reference no 1956.
