Back in June, ISO 50001, the international standard for Energy Management Systems (EnMS), became the latest standard to enter the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) revisions process.
On 2nd August, ISO 50001 was issued at CD2 (Committee Draft 2) which means that as a Committee Draft, members of ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 242 - which has recently become TC 301 - will now circulate the draft and must collate and return comments to ISO by 26th September 2016.
LRQA’s role as an EU Notified Body will not change following the recent decision of the EU referendum while the UK Government sets out the arrangements for its withdrawal from the EU. During this transition period, LRQA will be working closely with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) so that LRQA remains as an EU recognised Notified Body for Medical Devices post the UK leaving the EU.
