Latest News on Revision to ISO 14001:2015

The ISO Technical Committee, ISO/TC 207/WG 5, which is responsible for the revision of the international environmental management system standard, ISO 14001, is meeting in Tokyo, Japan, from the 2 – 7 February to review the comments from interested parties about the ISO 14001 Draft International Standard (DIS) and to formulate the Final Draft International Standard (FDIS).

Steve Williams, LRQA System and Governance Manager, commented that “The committee has received nearly 300 pages of comments from all over the world about the revision to ISO 14001. Our role now is to consider all of them and to prepare the FDIS for publication, so that we have a revised standard that is effective and fit for the future.”
