LRQA ISO Standards Update: ISO 45001 Second Committee Draft approved

At the end of March voting on ISO/CD 45001 (occupational health and safety) began and this week, the Project Committee responsible for it’s development, ISO/PC 283 approved the second Committee Draft (CD2).

ISO 45001 is currently at the committee stage of development, which is the third stage in the standards development process but the first consultation phase. During this stage, successive CDs can be circulated until agreement is reached on the technical content of the standard.

It is expected that the Draft International Standard (DIS) will be available in October 2015 with the final version of ISO 45001 available in October 2016 although this timeline is subject to change.

You can find out more about the development of ISO 45001 on the ISO website.
