The development and publication of BRC Food Safety Standard Issue 8 aims to focus on stakeholders’ main requirements and the emerging needs in the food industry. From product safety culture to pet food manufacturing, issue 8 has introduced several changes, additions and amendments.

Webinar Speakers

Tim Sparey

Tim Sparey is the Business Improvement Services Manager at Lloyd’s Register (LR) tasked with identifying and developing solutions for clients who wish to improve their business processes. Tim has extensive knowledge of management systems standards, including BRC Global Standards, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001, and uses his knowledge and skills to test and improve business processes for customers and their businesses.

Tim has over 20 years’ experience supporting businesses to manage, strengthen and improve their processes through audit, consultancy and training, and has worked with an extensive range of industries.  Tim has a Master of Science degree in the Management of Health & Safety and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration along with extensive experience of business risk audit, coaching, training, systems development and support.  

Mark Fincham

Mark Fincham has worked for Lloyd’s Register (LR) for 26 years as a Food Assessor and Technical Manager. He has carried out assessments against both BRC and FSSC, whilst currently he manages the BRC standards globally and the delivery of all Food safety standards in the UK&I.

Prior to joining LR, Mark worked in the meat, frozen food, canning and bakery industries for a number of manufactures including Campbells and Birds Eye.
